Project Overview

The GMU MIS 491 team provided Gryphon Technologies - a Mantech Company - a feasibility analysis of their quantitative cyber risk assessment tool's competitiveness and profitability in the insurance industry. The Client's Needs were to determine the vast cyber insurance market along with its pros and cons when entering the industry. The GMU MIS 491 Solution / Recommendation Delivery included research consisting of the positives and negatives of the market, insurance premiums, and premium payouts. Moreover, market competitiveness and profitability of the tool was also analyzed.

Client Testimonial
"Anamol and Brandon started out trying to solve the problem that I explained to them, initially missing the point that it was specific scoped research that I was looking for to influence whether or not I wanted to solve the problem. Once we adjusted and arrived on the same page, they took a solid client-centric approach, always asking if what they had done was in line with my expectations. They worked hard at obtaining the information I requested through some diligent research where I believe they had to come a little out of their comfort zone in communicating with the insurance industry in a professional manner. Their solution recommendations, a bit contrary to their belief and/or understanding will have me looking further into the issue based on the facts they presented. I cannot say yet how this will impact our organization, simply because we are in a state of change with the recent announcement of being acquired by a large public company. The fact that our new ownership does private industry work could work to my advantage with respect to moving forward with my idea. I will do some verification of their research and if plausible, especially with the larger resource pool I will have to work with, it may provide a new business line in cybersecurity."
