Project Overview

The GMU MIS 491 team provided EngineeRD with multiple deliverables contributing to optimizing business processes by enhancing channel engagement, developing a new CRM (named XRM, Everything Relationship Management) and a dashboard to monitor the company's standing incorporating a degree of automation. One of the top Client's Need was to gain a comprehensive understanding of their overall business performance without the need to delve into raw data. To address the client’s needs, the GMU MIS 491 team proposed a solution that involved leveraging applications such as Power Automate, SharePoint, and Power BI to develop an accurate and user-friendly dashboard. The purpose of this dashboard was to convert and merge selected data into an intuitive visualization that would enable the business to evaluate critical information and make informed decisions.

Client Testimonial
"The Process Rangers analyzed our business and current contact engagement processes, designed improvements, and implemented a proof-of-concept solution through the production of a new dynamic Anything Relationship Management (XRM) system. EngineeRD manages different flows of engagements and multiple marketing channels for it’s service offering, such as partnerships, sales, and vendor procurements. This is why even at a Small Business level, having a low-cost and effective solution to manage all types of business engagements and tying them to the types of relationships that drive them, can provide valuable business intelligence and translate to better work outcomes. The students developed tailored software and demonstrated Agile DevOps methodology as a product team and used the combination of Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Online and Atlassian Jira to field their solution to the problem. Using existing software, and tailoring it to the need avoided additional procurements in the business, reduced operating expenses and avoided going out to acquire services to achieve the objective.

The XRM that was delivered this semester is a multi-component system that allows future teams to continue to evolve the product and improve the processes. The XRM helped us understand our business processes better and the current version captures new contacts using a simple web form, and associate opportunities in a backend database, while generating real-time reports to those in charge of operations and performance. We are pleased to announce that the XRM designed by the Process Rangers is currently in full production and available for use on the engineerd.com company website, where web contacts can interact with the company and get processed behind the scenes appropriately."
