The GMU MIS 491 team provided Building Momentum two solutions for the company to conduct business more efficiently and to reduce effort from employees and management. The Client's Needs were to provide an inventory management solution along with an accounting software that would easily integrate with their existing Expensify platform and alleviate pain of manual transaction processing. The GMU MIS 491 Solution Delivery included researching applications that would efficiently manage their existing inventory, eventually replacing their lacking system of manual inventory tracking. Research was also conducted around existing toolsets that would augment their Expensify software to upload statements and other transactional data automatically. After thorough research and testing, two existing solutions (BoxHero and Xero) were recommended to the client, which could be implemented to eliminate unnecessary overhead.

"Tanvi, Winnie, and Hanna did an exceptional job with the task at hand. Building Momentum's needs were very specific to our one-of-a-kind use case for our small research and development and training team. Building Momentum asked for a highly customizable inventory app for an ever-changing supply over multiple buildings and rooms. By having students come in and provide resources that we were unable to allocate in-house towards building and researching bespoke solutions. The team was very responsive and held weekly meetings as needed to keep our company updated and the project moving forward. The team as a whole responded well to constructive feedback and we were impressed with how quickly they took the feedback and churned out a more layman-friendly approach to communicating the solution's capabilities. Building Momentum will be utilizing the solution the students presented at the end of the semester."
