Project Overview

The GMU MIS 491 team provided BechTech with a framework and tool so they can have a more organized and efficient process for their business development efforts to increase the chances of contract capture and business growth. The Client's Needs included a better way to track their contract proposal efforts – recompetes, new business, and proposal submission status; a process and repository solution for all company past performances; and a standardized roadmap for business development efforts. The GMU MIS 491 Solution / Recommendation Delivery included Migrating the current BecTech Business Development Pipeline (on a word document) over to their existing SharePoint 365 platform – using its List feature which allows for better categorization and notification of proposal updates; demonstrating how Microsoft Forms can be used to elicit past performance information and updates from current project managers; and the creation of a standard roadmap that shows the roles and responsibilities of different internal and external entities during the business development effort (for example: when an RFP drops).
